The retreat will focus on a number of critical themes that contribute to personal mastery. These would include (but not be limited to) self-awareness, self-regulation, the principles of inner and outer transformation, emotional and spiritual intelligence, communication and interactional excellence, accountability, problem-solving, purposeful working, collaboration and influencing. As also, getting results, decision-making, mental wellness and resilience;
The Journey to Self-Mastery (JTSM) is an interactive, joyful, group process of self-discovery and collaborative learning. JTSM is an endeavour for individuals to come together as a vibrant gathering, and learn from the vast and varied experiences and gifts of all those participating. The process of collaborative learning is underpinned on a wholesome interaction among the participants, with each one being accountable for their own learning and growth through insights derived from the group’s perspectives.
Accordingly, there will be a combination of group sessions (indoors and outdoors), visits to places of high spiritual energy (in and around Srinagar), meditation, team-games to strengthen learning, music, enjoyment and fun. The learnings will be facilitated by experienced trainers/facilitators, apart from the participants themselves.
JTSM is open to all people above the age of 21 years, but a cohort of 12-15 people will be selected for participation on the basis of their applications made online, at the link specified below. Those interested in joining the JTSM are required to fill in the application form available here. Responses to the questions in the application form, including the short paragraphs about oneself that are to be written, will be the basis for selection. Those selected will be intimated not later than Saturday, March 11, 2023.
The criteria for selection will be two-fold:
Applications will need to be submitted online not later than Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Those selected for the program will be intimated not later than Wednesday, March 11, 2023. Selected participants will need to make the full payment for the retreat by NEFT/IMPS into the Foundation’s bank account by Wednesday, March 18, 2023. Travel arrangements to the venue and back will have to be made by the participants on their own. Participants need to be at the World Unity Centre, Srinagar, by 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 30, 2023. On the completion of the program, participants may check out on Saturday, May 06, 2023.
The selected participants for the JTSM will be put up in twin-sharing accommodation at the elegant World Unity Centre, Srinagar, Kashmir, India, located at the foot-hills of Shankaracharya Hill, and within walking distance to the Dal Lake. For the duration of the JTSM Retreat, the participants will be provided full board – comprising breakfast, vegetarian lunch and dinner, and refreshments. Learning materials, as required, will also be provided during the retreat. Any trips by car/Tavera/Innova to locations in and around Srinagar, as a part of the JTSM program, will also be provided by the Foundation.
There is a charge that every participant who is selected for the journey will have to pay upfront (in advance of the JTSM) and not later than Saturday, March 18, 2023, to cover the board, lodging at the World Unity Centre, short-trips around Srinagar, and the cost of the learning materials, for the duration of the six-day retreat. The payment is fully refundable till Saturday, April 15, 2023. Any cancellations thereafter will attract a 10% processing charge that will be deducted before making the refund.
The full payment for the six-day JTSM retreat would be INR25,000/- (Indian Rupees twenty-five thousand only, all inclusive). The manner of payment will be communicated to all those selected in the detailed email that will be sent to them.
